It was a dream come true to celebrate my birthday on Nantucket. Nantucket has always been one of those destinations on my mind. In two recent posts here and here, I shared how this birthday season was one for the books. My family and I had a wonderful time exploring New England to celebrate Max and my birthdays. And Nantucket was the perfect way to wrap up five glorious days of visiting Boston, Cambridge, Martha’s Vineyard, and Cape Cod. Here is everything we did on this beautiful island.

The famous Jared Coffin House.

There are more than a dozen art galleries on the island featuring a variety of genres. Here is Max admiring an art piece made entirely of hot wheels- sized cars.

I loved running into this statue of Mr. Rogers on South Water Street.

I highly recommend visiting the Whaling Museum. It is pretty much on every Nantucket to-do list, and I can see why. Nantucket was once the whaling capital of the world, and this museum immerses you in that history.

Before you leave the Whaling Museum, make sure to visit the rooftop. It’s such a beautiful view, and the pictures and videos I captured there are some of my favorites.

A trip to Nantucket is not complete without visiting the Brant Point Lighthouse.

Did some shopping for Max at this adorable store.

When we first arrived on the island that morning, I was convinced I’d take a million pictures, and surprisingly, I didn’t. It was my birthday, and I wanted to be as fully present as possible. The pictures above, plus a few videos, are truly all that is on my phone. I do think Matt has a few pictures on his phone as well.

So I don’t have pictures of where we ate, and since it was a day trip, we didn’t stay at a hotel.

But for breakfast, we went to Born and Bread. There was a long line outside, but it moved quickly and the food there was delicious.

For lunch, we wanted to check out CRu because I had heard so much about it on Instagram. But it was full and extremely expensive. Yes, it was my birthday, but it didn’t feel like the best vibe for our toddler either.

So we went to Straight Wharf Fish instead. We enjoyed it!

After lunch, we kept strolling and caught the 5 pm ferry back to Cape Cod. It was such a wonderful birthday!
